Council Appreciates Grouper Fish Cultivation

City Council appreciates grouper fist cultivation program in Seribu Islands that initiated by Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama. Aside that, they were also optimistic the cultivation results could proper citizens.

"Trial results from fish cultivation is very good so far. Mr. Basuki does monitoring continuously and its result is success," expressed Ruddin Akbar Lubis, a member of City Council Commission B, on the sidelines of spreading 4,000 fish seeds in Seribu Islands, Tuesday (9/27). 

City government has started the trial since 2014. As a result, two activists of fish farming have been successfully developing businesses until exporting the fish to foreign country.

Fish Cultivation Developed in Three Islands

Therefore, he is optimistic that the business that conducted by city government with fishery high school will develop well.

"We know it can become a business potential that interested by Seribu Islands citizens. Moreover, the profit-sharing system is 80 percent for the farmer and 20 percent for the government," he explained.

While a member of House of Representative (DPR), Fayakhun Andriadi explained, fish cultivation concept could be imposed to other regions in Indonesia. The guidance pattern is deemed very beneficial for citizens.

"The concept is success thus we can impose it nationally," he finished.
